Contemporary home Toowong

The 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom contemporary house on Elizabeth Street in Toowong was completed as part of a development for a repeat client of ours.

In this case the client wanted to create a sleek and modern inner-city abode. He chose Anchor Building Services not only due to our proven track record, but also because the design was based off our residential project manager’s home – which the client adored.

“I designed my home and he was trying to replicate some of the features,” Jeremy Butler, Residential Project Manager.

This contemporary Brisbane home epitomises luxury with its clean lines, high-quality finishes, and impeccable handiwork.

Some of the most notable features which were incorporated into this modern home are the:

purpose-built wine display cabinet,
timber slat balustrade on the staircase,
black sink and other black fittings including tapware and lighting, and
custom brick bench seating.

Ceiling voids have also been integrated into the clever design to open up the space and allow for an abundance of natural light.

Brisbane block subdivided before new build

Prior to this modern home being built in the inner Brisbane suburb of Toowong, the block was subdivided from one lot into two.

The original character home was maintained to the left and the new home was constructed on the newly created lot on the right.

Anchor Building Services handled the project from beginning to end, including the:

subdivision process,
civil works,
actual house build.
landscaping, and
handover.

There was no side access at this location, so everything had to be completed from the back of the block to the front in a coordinated process. This was a challenge our team completed professionally and efficiently.
